Buyer / Category Specialist

Exciting opportunity in Qatar! Buyer / Category Specialist position available for long-term commitment.

Minimum Qualifications:

B.Sc. Eng. or equivalent, or Diploma in Mechanical/ Instrument/ Electrical/

Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Middle East/Gulf experience preferred.

Minimum Work Experience:

8-10 years in refinery or petrochemical Oil and Gas plants.

Responsible for ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures for procurement and asset disposal.

Capable of working independently, with a minimum of supervision.

Knowledge of current market trends and developments (to support operations)

Job Requirements include:

Building and maintaining professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

Conducting technical and procedural discussions with vendors as needed.

Creating bidders lists, Instruction to Tenderer, Tender Package, and RFQ.

Evaluating vendors both technically and commercially.

Negotiating bids, issuing purchase orders and supply agreements.

Managing the contracting system and preparing Tender Committee submissions.
