Job Purpose

Responsible for operating the Allocated Field within the plant in order to meet all process control parameters and product specifications, and to ensure the safe operation of the plant.

Carries out operations effectively in all areas of Plant operations as per the direction of the shift supervisor as when required.

Key Accountabilities

Shift Operations

Monitor and control the plant process , in order to meet all process control parameters and product specifications, and to ensure the safe operation of the plant.

Operate the Plant and Equipment in field based on the defined section of the Plant.

Optimal Operating Conditions

Adjust operating conditions to ensure the product is within the standard specifications

Communicate with operators within plants, on a continuing basis to optimise the production.

Inform to the DCS operators when working in field about any abnormalities and parameters as when required for smooth running of the Plant.

Trouble Shooting

Identify and resolve operating problems to meet the shift operating targets with the assistance of the field operators.

Sample analysis

Perform and Review Sample analysis results based on the section operating and take corrective action to meet the required specifications.

Shut Down and Start Up

Take all actions for the safe shutdown and start up in specific areas of the plant in line with standard operating procedures.

Health, Safety and Environment

Take appropriate actions to meet Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and regulations within acceptable norms and standards.

Efficiency of Operations

Monitor the yields and consumption of chemicals/Raw Materials in order to make improvements.

Reports on operational performance

Monitor and report to supervisors the operational performance of the process to ensure continuous, smooth and uninterrupted operations.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications:

Technical diploma or equivalent education. Experience & sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical processes in continuous running plants.

Minimum Experience:

5~8 years of operational experience in a fertilizer or chemical processes & plant operations. Preferably with experience in the same type of process.
